Cera Hensley, Photographer, New York

Description

This studio photograph by Cera Hensley captures the lower half of a person wearing bright red athletic shorts and black wristbands, holding a dark, gorilla-shaped kettlebell with bared teeth. Between their feet, which are clad in pale sneakers, rests a single ripe banana on a grey floor casting a crisp shadow. The background features geometric blocks of solid yellow and white under hard, directional studio lighting, creating sharp shadows and high contrast.
