About

This watercolor illustration by illustrator Caroline Romain-desfosses portrays a serene alpine scene during a winter night. A red fox sits prominently in the snow-covered foreground near small white flowers, while other small foxes and wildlife inhabit the middle ground amid clusters of evergreen pine trees. Towering snow-capped mountains rise in the background under a deep blue night sky filled with scattered white stars and starlight effects. The traditional media technique creates soft fluid washes of blue and white across the mountainous terrain.
