Bruce Gilden, Photographer, London

Description

This striking portrait photograph by Bruce Gilden features an adult woman with dark, styled hair wrapped in a vibrant yellow and black polka dot headscarf. She wears a matching black silk-like pajama top heavily patterned with colorful polka dots in red, green, yellow, and white, adorned with visible monograms. In her arms, she cradles a young toddler who rests its hand near its mouth, wearing a patterned white dress. The subjects are positioned outdoors with a sandy beach and a clear blue ocean visible in the background under a bright sky. The lighting is direct and sharp, casting minimal shadows and highlighting the rich colours and intricate textures of the clothing and accessories.
