About

This portrait captures a black female speed skater crouched in a dynamic starting pose on an indoor ice rink. She wears a form-fitting blue athletic suit patterned with white stars on the right sleeve and a tan beanie. Her dark hair is braided and trails behind her as she leans forward with intense focus. The lighting casts soft blue tones across the ice surface while highlighting her athletic stance. Photographed by Brinson Banks.
