Description

A dark, moody still life composition features a pewter bowl filled with green apples, pears, and small round fruits resting on a dark, textured surface. To the right of the bowl, a cluster of longans spills outward alongside a lone red apple with a green leaf attached. Dry, curled leaves lie scattered on the surface near the base of the bowl. The background is shadowy and mottled, creating a dramatic chiaroscuro lighting effect reminiscent of classical painting. The image was captured by photographer Brent Parker Jones.
