Bharat Sikka, Photographer, London

Description

A striking portrait photograph by Bharat Sikka features a shirtless man holding a large, gnarled tree branch in front of his face, completely obscuring his head. The branch is heavily covered in pale shelf fungi sprouting along its rough bark. The subject wears light-colored, textured trousers with an elastic waistband. Warm, directional sunlight casts deep shadows, accentuating the organic textures of the wood and the musculature of the torso. The background consists of a plain, muted wall with weathered textures, creating a quiet and minimalist atmosphere.
