Bharat Sikka, Photographer, London

Description

This monochrome editorial photograph by Bharat Sikka captures a child bending forward in a deep stretch on a square-tiled floor. Strong directional sunlight creates sharp triangular shadows and bright highlights across the figure and the surface below. The composition is shot from a high angle, emphasizing the sculptural posture of the subject. The monochromatic treatment heightens the graphic interplay of light and shadow within the frame.
