Description

This interior photograph features a traditional wooden staircase ascending through a hallway with deep terracotta or reddish-brown walls. A textured dark carpet runner extends up the center of the steps, contrasting with the warm painted risers and balustrades. A polished dark wooden handrail curves gracefully down the foreground, leading the eye upward. Natural light enters from a high upper window, casting soft shadows and highlighting the rich matte textures of the walls and carpeting. Photographed by Ben Anders in London.
