Autumn Sonnichsen, Photographer, New York

Description

This portrait photograph by Autumn Sonnichsen is set on an indoor wooden basketball court with tall gridded windows along the background wall. Two shirtless men with extensive tattoos stand facing each other, both holding basketballs while smiling down toward a young child positioned between them on the floor. The child, wearing a light-colored top, also holds a basketball and looks upward with a joyful expression. The lighting is warm and directional, casting soft highlights across the figures and highlighting the polished wooden floorboards. The composition captures a candid, energetic moment of connection between the subjects in a classic gymnasium setting.
