Asger Carlsen, Photographer, New York

About

This black and white photograph by New York-based artist Asger Carlsen captures an uncanny indoor scene. A nude figure stands with distorted proportions, balancing on bulbous inflated forms on a carpeted floor. The background shows a domestic interior with chairs, draped curtains, and framed artwork on plain walls. The lighting is direct and stark, emphasizing the bizarre forms and textures within the composition.
