Anthony Goicolea, Illustrator, New York

Description

A monochrome figurative drawing by illustrator and artist Anthony Goicolea depicts a young man with surreal, layered facial features. The subject exhibits an additional eye rendered beneath his right eye, multiple ears, and subtle anatomical distortions across his face. A hand rests gently near his collarbone while expressive, continuous black looped scribbles encircle and overlay the portrait. Rendered with smooth tonal gradations in graphite and ink tones, the composition establishes an intense psychological atmosphere against a soft, diffused grey background.
