Anson Smart, Photographer, Sydney

Description

This food photography piece by Anson Smart captures a rustic arrangement of three stacked artisan cheeses resting on a textured, weathered grey surface. A small, square wedge of white cheese with a dark herb line sits atop a triangular wedge, which in turn rests on a large round wheel with a pale rind. Soft, directional light highlights the varied textures of the rinds and the creamy interiors of the cheeses. The background consists of a neutral, soft-toned fabric draped gently, creating a subdued and intimate atmosphere. The composition is tight and focused, emphasizing the tactile qualities and natural variations of the dairy products.
