Description

This close-up photograph captures the back of a basketball player wearing a dark black jersey with contrasting white trim. The subject is viewed from a high angle through the diamond-shaped mesh of a chain-link fence, which casts sharp intersecting shadows across the back and shoulders. The atmospheric lighting emphasizes texture on the skin and fabric. The image was captured in Paris by photographer Anne-sophie Soudoplatoff.
