Description

This portrait photograph by Andy Mahr in Chicago captures a polo player from behind, mounted on a horse. The subject wears a black short-sleeved jersey featuring white lettering that reads PSK POLO TEAM and a large orange number 3 with white trim. A black protective helmet with a face guard is worn, and a polo mallet rests horizontally across the shoulders, held by gloved hands. The player is dressed in light grey or white trousers and riding boots, seated in a saddle on a dark horse. The background consists of a bright, overcast sky with soft, diffused daylight highlighting the subject and the upper back of the horse.
