Description

An Ode To Black Travel is a video project created for Airbnb, featuring a montage of archival photographs and contemporary footage highlighting Black travellers, hosts, and communities. The sequence moves through vintage black-and-white portraits of families and individuals, modern group trips, desert camel rides, and warm greetings at home rentals. The visual style blends historical film textures with clean contemporary digital captures, depicting scenes of arrival, shared meals, and joyful reunions. Post-production includes a mix of black-and-white archival film grain and rich colour grading with natural lighting. The project reflects themes of hospitality, belonging, and the rich heritage of Black travel experiences.
