Ambroise Tezenas, Photographer, Paris

Description

This photograph by Ambroise Tezenas captures an empty cinema interior in Paris illuminated by dramatic red and blue lighting. Rows of tiered auditorium seats face towards a central staircase framed by a pediment and decorative planters with artificial trees. The walls feature textured diamond patterns and vertical paneling bathed in saturated colour washes. The composition emphasizes the theatrical atmosphere of the empty venue through intense colour contrast and deep shadows.
