Description
This monochrome studio portrait by photographer Alvin Nguyen captures a woman seated against a deep, dark background. She is draped in thick, heavy rope that winds around her shoulders and lower body, held loosely in her hands. Her eyes are closed with a serene expression, illuminated by directional lighting that carves out her form against the shadows. The high-contrast black and white grading emphasizes the texture of the twisted hemp fibers and the contours of the subject's skin. The composition is intimate and moody, focusing entirely on sculptural form and texture.
