Alice Isaac, Illustrator, London

Description

This mixed media paper collage by London-based illustrator Alice Isaac presents a fragmented and abstract portrait composition. Various textured paper cutouts are layered together, combining photographic facial elements with graphic typography and torn edges. The piece employs bold colour washes in shades of purple, yellow, and magenta, creating a tactile and dynamic surface. Visible printing elements and overlapping paper fragments emphasize the handmade, physical construction of the collage. The unconventional perspective and abstract framing invite close inspection of the diverse textures and graphic elements.
