About

This dramatic nature photograph captures a powerful waterfall rushing over dark, craggy rock faces into a pool below. The vertical composition emphasizes the height and downward force of the cascading water, which appears blurred from motion. Cool blue tones dominate the scene, giving the water and surrounding wet stone a moody, atmospheric quality. Mist rises from the impact point where the torrent meets the rocky basin. The shot was captured by photographer Alex Farnum.
