Alex Black, Paris

Description

This striking portrait captures a young Black man with textured dreadlocks and a direct gaze. A delicate silver chain is held delicately between his lips, dangling down the frame and adding an unexpected element of juxtaposition. The composition is a tightly framed headshot focusing intensely on the subject's expression and facial features. Lighting is clean and even against a minimal white background, accentuating the metallic sheen of the chain and the natural tones of the subject. The image was directed by Alex Black.
