Adrian Gaut, Photographer, New York

Description

This interior photograph by Adrian Gaut captures a warmly lit living room in New York. The space is arranged symmetrically with twin multi-pane windows flanked by full-length taupe curtains. In front of the wall between the windows hangs a dark-framed classical portrait above a wooden roll-top desk and a simple wooden chair. In the foreground, a sculptural shell-shaped armchair sits to the left, while a low dark coffee table holding a book and a shallow bowl anchors the right side. Built-in bookshelves filled with books line the lower walls beneath the windows, and a distinctive saucer-shaped pendant light hangs from the ceiling above.
