Description

This striking editorial illustration by Aart-jan Venema presents a close-up portrait focusing on the lower face and ornate neckwear of a male figure. The man wears a large, pleated white ruff collar, inside of which tiny ghostly skull illustrations are subtly embedded within the folds. He features dark hair, a prominent black mustache, and a pointed goatee. The background consists of a bright orange upper section and a solid blue lower section, framing the subject with bold, graphic contrast. The artwork employs clean black outlines and flat planes of vibrant color.
